Hey guys! Time flies and its CNY eve already (oh how corny. =.= LOL!). Are you guys prepared for reunion dinner or have you guys already had yours? Anyway, i know its a little random to post this now but then again, useful information like this doesn't have a specific time to be posted yeah? So here it goes, i was browsing through blogs and i came across Vincent's post at the Wildcards blog and its about anger management:
How to Manage Anger:
1) Resolve to control it- Anger is a choice
2) Realize the cost- Anger causes us to lose and finally alienation
3) Restrain my mouth-Proverbs 21:23 "if you keep your mouth shut, you will stay out of trouble"- James 1:19 "quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger"
4) Reflect before reacting
3 Questions to ask yourself:
- Why am I angry?
- What do I really want?
- How can I get it?
3 Causes of Anger:
- Hurt
- Frustration
- Fear
5) Release anger appropriately
3 Don'ts
- Suppress
- Repress (deny)
- Express inappropriately (pouting/sarcasm/manipulate)
--> Confess your anger
6) Repay evil with good
7) Request for God's help- Psalm 141:3
"Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips."
I know not all the points are applicable to everyone but just pick out what's needed and i find point 3 especially useful because there's just so many of us who speak without having think twice refer back realizing used at wrong time can cause problems result in undesired circumstances. Everyone have their rights to be angry at the right time, but don't abuse this rights, and don't deny anyone of this rights.Sooooo, lets manage our anger in a way we can all benefit from it and have it to spur us to work harder instead of letting it get in our way! xDD
Last but not least, Happy Chinese New Year to all those celebrating and Happy longer holidays for those not celebrating. xDD
*I'm going to post this on my blog too cause my groupmate is always pouting-refer to point 3.3* LOLLLL!
