Hello Everyone!
This is my first time posting, so nervous HAHA.
Alright I just want to emphasize the importance of strength in Cheerleading. If you've watched the videos below and had experienced stunting during trainings, there is no way you can execute perfect stunts you don't have the muscles. Technique is important but it comes only after you have the strength.
Also, strength prevents injuries. Cheerleading is ranked no.1 most dangerous high school sports in USA. Like Coach have said, what you (juniors) are learning is basic. If flyers is going to fly down in height of 2 stories height without bases who cant hold her weight, the consequences will be devastating.
Time flys fast, before you knew it, some of you will be attempting high level stunts already. So to prepare yourself, start building up your body NOW. Gym, run and practice consistently. Difficult to carry out, but ultimately what you want to achieve is how much you do.
Ask the seniors around for gym sessions. I usually gym on Thurday 2pm-4pm. Kelwin gyms alot too, you guys can find him.
This applies to girls and seniors too.
Sleep early!; Wei Kee
